This Privacy Policy explains how Kreon Labs (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Moodi iOS app and related services at moodi.kreonlabs.com.

Moodi is a focus, break, and sleep sound app. We do not sell your personal data, we do not show ads, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller is Kreon Labs. For privacy requests, email support@kreonlabs.com.

2. Information we collect

Moodi does not require an email, phone number, or password to use the app.

• Device identifier. An anonymous device ID (based on Apple’s identifierForVendor, or a random UUID) stored in the Keychain. We use it to register the device, issue an access token, and restore your Moodi data after reinstalling on the same device.
• Technical data. Platform (iOS), last seen time, and IP address. IP is used for security, rate limiting, and approximate location (country, region, city) via a geolocation lookup. We do not collect precise GPS location.
• Optional profile. A display name you type in the app, if you choose to set one.
• App data you create. Favorite sounds, sleep presets, and usage statistics (for example focus, break, and sleep session history). This is synced to our servers so it can be restored on the same device.
• Purchases. If you subscribe to Moodi Plus, payment is processed by Apple. We receive subscription status from StoreKit. We do not see your full Apple ID, card number, or billing address.

Downloaded audio and images for offline playback stay on your device. They are not uploaded back to us.

3. Permissions on your device

• Notifications. Used only for the optional sleep wake-up alarm you schedule in the app. We do not send marketing push notifications.
• Background audio. So Focus, Break, and Sleep sessions can keep playing when the app is in the background.
• Live Activities. To show an ongoing session on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.

Moodi does not access your camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, Health app data, or advertising identifier.

4. How we use information

• Operate the app: catalog, device auth, and data sync
• Restore favorites, presets, and stats after a reinstall
• Deliver Moodi Plus features you paid for
• Keep the service secure and prevent abuse
• Understand approximate usage geography at an aggregate level
• Respond to support and deletion requests

5. Legal bases (EEA / UK / Türkiye)

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we process data to perform the service you request (contract), to operate and secure the service (legitimate interests), and to meet legal obligations. Optional display name is provided by you.

6. Sharing

We share information only as needed to run Moodi:

• Apple. App Store, In-App Purchases, notifications, Live Activities.
• Cloudflare. CDN and object storage for sound and image files (cdn.kreonlabs.com).
• IP geolocation provider (ipwho.is). To resolve country / city from IP. We send the IP for lookup; we do not send your name.
• Hosting. Our servers at moodi.kreonlabs.com store device and sync data.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share data with advertising networks. We may disclose information if required by law.

7. Retention

Device and synced app data are kept while your device identity remains active and as needed to provide the service. Server logs and IP-related records are kept only as long as needed for security and operations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

8. Your choices and rights

• You can use Moodi without setting a display name.
• You can refuse notifications in iOS Settings; the sleep alarm will not fire.
• You can request access, correction, or deletion of your Moodi data by emailing support@kreonlabs.com from a message that includes your request. If possible, mention the device and that the request is for Moodi.
• Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Deleting the app from your phone removes local files. Server-side device data is deleted when we complete a deletion request, or when the identity is no longer needed to provide the service.

9. Children

Moodi is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International transfers

Our servers and processors may be located outside your country. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we transfer.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of Moodi after an update means you accept the revised policy.
